I’ve been remembering Michael Jackson.
I was messing around on AvenueK9 this week, and was reminded of a wonderful MJ video that features William Wegman-looking dogs. The post was a rememberence of MJ(as is this post), written by one of their bloggers, Michael Kuhlmann. I’m so glad I found it because I haven’t seen this video in so long! I’m embedding a version of it in this post, but I REALLY REALLY recommend going to YouTube and looking at Michael Jackson’s official channel to see a much crisper version.
God bless you Michael Jackson, and give you the peace you were denied in life.
I think I’m going to have to spend some time on the Michael Jackson channel on YouTube….what an artist!
Whether or not you liked Michael Jackson’s music, he certainly took the music video to a whole new place as avant guard short form movies. (For which we probably have to give some credit to Quincy Jones and others who collaborated.)

And I agree with your take on MJ–his music videos changed the face of MTV. For me, he was a huge part of a “golden age” for music videos. I remember where I was when JFK was assassinated. I remember where I was the night Thriller premiered on MTV.
