Meredith (an old buddy of mine who started in Consumer Relations) has been part of Pet Care for 12 years.

1. What pets share your life?
We have two dogs – Allie and Beaglegeuse. Allie is an eight-year-old black lab that we adopted from the Labrador Rescue about six years ago. She is a wonderful soul and loves to supervise me when working in the flower beds. Our other dog, Beaglegeuse, is an 11-year- beagle. His real name is Winston, but as our son will tell you, he’s only called that when he is in BIG trouble.

2. What is the funniest thing your pets have ever done?
We have a lovely strawberry planter on our deck this summer. My son and I watch it everyday patiently waiting for the berries to be ripe. We noticed one day that there were a few berries a day away from being perfectly ripe. The next morning we went to check on the plants and the berries had disappeared! One look to the side of the deck and we discovered two dogs sheepishly looking away as they were finishing the berries they had just plucked from the planter! Needless to say, the planter is sitting up higher now.

3. What’s your favorite story about pets in the office?
It is so neat to meet a co-worker’s pet. I like to see what kind of dog they have – sometimes you are really surprised at what breeds people are drawn to!

4. What is your favorite part of working at Pet Care?
It makes me so happy when people come to P&G Pet Care to interview for a job and they meet Euka, our Vice President of Canine Communications (and official greeter).  You can just see that they were meant to be part of our company and help the dogs and cats of the world lead a healthier life. I love working for Pet Care and seeing that in my own little way, I am making a difference.
