The CNCA at the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship
Meet some of the men and women of the California Narcotics Canine Association. I got to see these canine teams in action as part of the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship, where they did demonstrations showing how these incredible dogs protect their communities from the bad guys.

Flat Tyler tries to be a drug-sniffing dog. Fail!

CNCA team members are ready to show their stuff!

A big benefit of using a dog to search items like cars, luggage, and mail is their keen sense of smell.

After work, the dogs go home with their handlers and switch off the police officer role to relax as family pets.

Cop by day, family pet by night. These dogs need their down time, just like their human partners do.
