I caught up with my old buddy, Nicole Daute, and made a new friend, Christina Kwan, this past weekend at BlogPaws 2010. Both are with DogTime Media, and very smart cookies when it comes to blogs and blogging. Here is my interview with them. Enjoy!
Thanks so much to Nicole and Christina for gifting me with their time!
While at BlogPaws this past weekend, I pulled out my video camera and put several people on the spot when I interviewed them. Here is the first of (hopefully) 4 video interviews.
Dorian Wagner (a wonderful anipal) of Your Daily Cute talks about her pets, her online work, and the importance of pet bloggers.
A big THANK YOU to Dorian for being such a good sport!
My head is still spinning from being forced back into every day life after experiencing the rarefied air shared by all the pet bloggers I met at BlogPaws this past weekend.
So many wonderful people with a goal of helping animals everywhere. In a world full of cheating hedge funds, poverty, and massive destruction (both natural and man-made), the folks I met this past weekend remind me of the greater good we all can accomplish if we simply band together and take a stand.
If you haven’t already seen it, please take a look at this video done by Lynn Haigh who is the mum of Frugal Dougal and who has become one of my heroes (right up there with Mike Arms). This is what being a pet blogger is all about. This is what helps me get through the bad parts of the day.
I’m a few miles east of home today, in Columbus Ohio today attending the BlogPaws conference. What’s BlogPaws? The very first ever pet bloggers conference. And it’s awesome pawsome!!
September 2009 Behind the Paw Blogger Summit
One of the most wonderful things is that I get to see some old friends. Nicole, Caroline, Karen, Lana, and Dr. Janet are all here attending the conference. So last night, we pulled out our bowling shirts from last year’s Behind the Paw Blogger Summit and took a photo:
This conference has been like one big happy family reunion–except there’s no sibling rivalry. So many people I’ve met online are here and it’s been such a pleasure to put faces to names. I’ve been to other conferences that were more well established–BlogPaws puts them in the shade! Great organization! Great presentations! And great people! I’m so glad I came!
